Act of Valor movie premiere

Last Monday I went to the movie premiere for Act of Valor with my dad. It was an interesting film, navy seals played by actual navy seals, my dad was also in the film hence why I went. We walked the blue carpet and waited outside before the film where actual navy seals ended up parachuting out of a plane down to the front of the theater, they had to block the entire street.
Afterwards we went to a party a few blocks away. The minute we walked up some paparazzi already had photos ready for my dad to sign, it was very interesting... Overall I'd say it was definitely an interesting night.

I ended up going through a ton of dresses until I decided on a dress I picked up from Timeless boutique on Ventura, Dolce Vita shoes, Elle Tahari jacket, a gold necklace from Cebu at the Sherman Oaks Westfield Mall, and some various other pieces.

A Day Off

  Shirt: Free People
Jacket: OGU
Pants: Melrose Boutique
Shoes: Dolce Vita

Got a day off to relax this week since school starts on the the 6th so I decided to go to Melrose and search for a few buys that I missed out on a few weeks ago. So I went and got my Jeffrey Campbell knock offs, some intense black wide-leg pants, a skirt and a skull top.

Then back home in the valley my friend Ines came by so I got ready and then we went off to have ourselves a small business meeting for some future plans we have. We are keeping it a little hush hush right now but soon you will all be let in on the secret.
Until next time---
    Bonne Nuit

A Birthday Tea Party

This year I turn 20 and while my real birthday isn't until January 10th most of my closer friends end up going back to school before my actual birthday. So this year I had a small gathering of my closest friends earlier this week to celebrate. What a better way than a dressy tea party.

Top: Vintage
Skirt:Urban outfitters
Shoes:Dolce Vita
Jewelry:Vintage

 Appetizers

Flowers as my center piece of course!

 Getting ready to eat!

We dined on paninis tea, of course, and a few other things.

 Playing dinner games

 Homemade birthday cake and macaroons

My parents joining in on our games

The seating arrangements

I had a lot of fun, and still cannot believe I am turning 20! It was so great to see all my friends together, especially since I don't get to see most of them during the year. Between appetizers, games, and food I think this was an over all successful birthday bash.

Bonne nuit,
Jhanna

Sunday afternoons

top: Free People
bag: pour la victoire
jewelry: second hand stores

I recently spent a lovely Sunday with my friend Ines (BisousofBliss) we went and grabbed lunch on Ventura. I had an amazing panini and besides almost getting a ticket for jay-walking by police it was an overall good day.
I am personally a legging maniac, if I wear jeans it has to somehow fit tight and move like leggings. I am in love with flowy shirts like my free people one above (it hides everything). I want to comment on my shoes because I know to some people they might look funny, which is mostly why I like them. I call them my Swedish toe shoes the shape reminds me of one of those clog shoes. I think I got them at Macys, I have had them for years. Same with the leather jacket, something most likely from Macys.

I hope you enjoy my first outfit post, there will be many more on the way, especially since my birthday is coming up! I am sure I will have much more to share soon.

bonne nuit,
Jhanna

Ma Chambre

You can usually tell a lot about a person by the way they present themselves. Like how they dress and put pieces together, but I think that while this is true that you can really know someone’s style by taking a look at their room or the ways they decorate their personal space.

I recently switched my bedroom with my dad’s office, and besides a bigger room I got a bigger closet (with more room for all those shoes).
 **
If I had the money/time/patience I might redecorate to add some rhythm or sense to how things are laid out, but for now this is my bedchamber.
Personally, I love old fashioned, classic, bohemian, and overall various cultures. I think you can tell from my room that my style is a little all over the place.
My Chanel perfume add that I picked up in Paris

My various lanterns

My art corners filled with canvases and supplies

It is FINALLY beginning to look like Christmas

Although I am Jewish my family has always celebrated Christmas. This year we are getting a very late start to decorating, thanks to finals. More photos to come of our Christmas village that we make every year and more of the holiday joy beginning to show all around my house!

Having a wrapping break with some hot coco.

 Happy Holidays!

Bonne Nuit,

Hello Stranger

Hi there,

I'm Jhanna and this is my round two at blogging, so here it goes!

I am an all around -aholic of food, art, and shopping. I spend my nuits drinking tea and reading blogs. I am currently a student in college studying art and fashion. I am about to be twenty and am starting a new leaf by starting fresh with this blog. I live in California with some crazy animals: Oreo (a massive bed hog), Marmalade (my noisy Pomeranian), and a bird named Perogee (who never stops whistling). Besides living with a dysfunctional family I am hoping that this blogging experience will add a few extra sane hours to my life.

Hope ya like.

Bonne nuit,
Jhanna
